Poplar Arts & Crafts Contemporary 8 Panel Flat Panel Door

This door has a very contemporary look, especially in the flat panel design. While it can be very busy, in the right home, it becomes the focus of each room. This door has symmetry and complements the right style home with its look. It would probably do best as a darker stained wood that would bring out the best in the grain of each piece of wood, complemented with lighter colored walls in warmer earth tones.

Our Arts and Crafts or Mission Style Contemporary 8 Panel Flat Panel Door is made up of three parts:

• Panels- Panels float within the frame of the door, and are not glued to allow for expansion and contraction of the door panels. Panel doors styles can have either horizontal or vertical panels.* All horizontal panels have horizontal wood grain.
• Stiles- The two long vertical pieces on each side of the door. One side is attached to the door jamb with hinges. The other side is bored for the door knob or lever, so that it can be latch to the jamb when shut.
• Rails- the horizontal and/or vertical pieces in the door that surround the panels and attach to the stiles.
