Hickory Arts & Crafts Mission Inverted 4 Panel Raised Panel Bifold Door

The inverted four panel door is an exact copy of our standard four panel door #5501, except the top two and bottom two panels are reversed in placement. This door has a striking look, and works well as both our raised panel and flat panel designs. The simple panel configuration fits well in a home where a more complex panel style is not wanted. This door style also looks good in a custom door, where glass is substituted for panels. As with our other doors, the look of this door design is also affected greatly by the type of wood used. door style will be sure to have a one of a kind home in your neighborhood.

Our Arts and Crafts or Mission Style Inverted 4 Panel Raised Panel Bifold Door is made up of three parts:

• Panels- Panels float within the frame of the door, and are not glued to allow for expansion and contraction of the door panels. Panel doors styles can have either horizontal or vertical panels.* All horizontal panels have horizontal wood grain.
• Stiles- The two long vertical pieces on each side of the door. One side is attached to the door jamb with hinges. The other side is bored for the door knob or lever, so that it can be latch to the jamb when shut.
• Rails- the horizontal and/or vertical pieces in the door that surround the panels and attach to the stiles.
