This six panel door has the same exact panel sizes as our standard six panel door (#5503), except with this style the top two panels are switched in position with the middle two panels. This panel configuration was probably first done in the Victorian period, named after Englands' Queen Victoria. Homes in this period were created with a very ornate look, with more detailed moldings, and other other details with more complex lines. With the arts and crafts period, appearing later, mainly in America, this door style was modified to include flat panels, for a cleaner simpler look. Whatever the look wanted, variations of this door style will accommodate it. As with the standard six panel #5503, this door also accomodates being turned into a dutch door.
