Ash Arts & Crafts Mission 4 Panel Raised Panel Bifold Door

This arts and crafts four panel door design has a lot going for it. It has symmetry, because of the small panel at both top and bottom, as well as the two longer panels in the center. It has proven to a very popular design, because of how well it fits in both older homes, and in new homes. With the door made in a flat panel style, this door can have a very contemporary look. Just by changing the wood and the raised or flat panels, the look of this door can fit almost any home.

Our Arts and Crafts or Mission Style 4 Panel Raised Panel Bifold Door is made up of three parts:

• Panels- Panels float within the frame of the door, and are not glued to allow for expansion and contraction of the door panels. Panel doors styles can have either horizontal or vertical panels.* All horizontal panels have horizontal wood grain.
• Stiles- The two long vertical pieces on each side of the door. One side is attached to the door jamb with hinges. The other side is bored for the door knob or lever, so that it can be latch to the jamb when shut.
• Rails- the horizontal and/or vertical pieces in the door that surround the panels and attach to the stiles.
